The concessionary rate is for the first £1,500 (full price value) of Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) services in a financial year if any of the following apply:

  • you’re exporting VAT-exempt goods
  • you’re not registered for VAT and do not need to be registered in that financial year (1 April to 31 March)
  • your certified exports were worth less than £5,000 in the last financial year

You must apply for the concessionary rate before you apply for a phytosanitary certificate.
