IFF Research conducted this research on behalf of the Department for Education.
The learner survey looks at:
- routes into apprenticeships
- motivations for doing an apprenticeship
- experiences of training, including off the job training and end point assessments
- satisfaction with the apprenticeship
- quality and content of the apprenticeship, including working hours and pay
- outcomes and impact on careers
The non-completer survey looks at the experiences of learners who did not complete their apprenticeship, including:
- reasons for non-completion
- activity since leaving the apprenticeship
The employer survey looks at:
- employers’ experiences of offering apprenticeships
- who they took on and to what types of apprenticeship
- motivations for offering apprenticeships
- satisfaction and benefits
- future provision of apprenticeships
