The impact of the reformed apprenticeship model varies across review body workforces, with limited consequences for recruitment and retention among teachers and the armed forces, but with significant implications for the healthcare workforce and police officers.
Where apprenticeships do impact on recruitment and retention they do so in very different ways. Within the healthcare workforce outcomes have been closely related to the retention of staff, while for police officers and in the armed forces they have centered much more on recruitment.
