Title: Assertiveness (3 hours 50 minutes, paid course)
You’ll investigate the impact of assertiveness on your day-to-day working life, as well as the most typical barriers to being assertive. The learning activities will help you determine where you currently stand on the ‘assertiveness continuum’ and identify the emotional triggers that affect your behaviour. You’ll also understand how you come across to different people in different situations, and how you can begin to stretch and flex your personal style in response.

Financial Oversight
Commercial awareness (free course)
This topic explains the benefits of commercial understanding when you’re developing and implementing policy and programmes. You learn about the importance of effective preparation, procurement and management of services, as well as the stages of the commercial cycle.
Awareness of finance in government (free course)
You examine the sources of government money and how it is allocated, as well as the financial processes at a departmental level, and who administers them. After completing this topic, you will be more aware of the government’s budgetary cycle and processes, and more confident when dealing with finance professionals in your day-to-day work.
