Details
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Decarbonisation innovation programme aims to support the development of innovative artificial intelligence technologies for decarbonisation applications to support the transition to net zero.
Stream 3 provided a total of £2.25 million of grant funding available across the following categories:
- Lot 1: Using AI to accelerate decarbonisation across generation, demand, transmission and distribution of electricity
- Lot 2: Using AI to optimise energy use in decarbonised transportation
- Lot 3: Using AI to optimise and identify land use for renewables generation
Applicants could apply for a grant of up to £350,000 per proposal.
Eligibility
The competition supported technologies at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3 to 7 at the start of the project.
