The assistive technology test and learn training programme aimed to:

  • upskill participants in the use of, assessment for and anticipated outcomes of AT
  • give schools the tools to embed effective AT use in a long-term, whole school digital and SEND strategy
  • provide training for schools in a way that limits the impact on staff workload
  • add to the evidence base in this area to inform wider SEND training

The report is of interest to policymakers, organisations developing and delivering CPD, researchers and those involved in commissioning CPD for schools and trusts (including school leaders).
