Background

Dstl wishes to invite prospective suppliers to an industry day for the Affordable Titanium for Defence (ATiTUDE) programme. The target audience for the day is those who work in any aspect of the processing and use of titanium, from raw materials through to the manufacture and integration of parts.

Aims and objectives

To brief the UK academic and industrial S&T community on Dstl’s Affordable Titanium for Defence [ATiTUDE] demonstrator programme which has been designed to address MOD requirements for robust, lightweight materials that will reduce future platform ownership costs.

  • To brief out Dstl’s ATiTUDE demonstrator programme, highlighting its highly collaborative nature.

  • To give potential ATiTUDE performers with an opportunity for 1:1 discussions with Dstl SMEs.

  • To provide a forum for potential ATiTUDE consortium members to explore how they might best collaborate.

  • To provide a brief on the R-Cloud Procurement process.

The event will be hosted at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry on 15 November 2018.
