Fishing vessels of 24 metres and over 31 May 2012

The AIS system must meet the performance standards drawn up by the International Maritime Organization in accordance with the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974 (Chapter V, Regulation 19, section 2.4.5) (see above).
