This post incident report, prepared by the Environment Agency (EA), was commissioned in October 2000 by the Minister for Fisheries and the Countryside, Elliot Morley, MP.

  • the extent and severity of the flooding
  • the causes of the flooding
  • the effectiveness of flood warning and emergency responses
  • the performance of the defences
