Avove Limited: application made to abstract water

Avove Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from groundwater (Warwickshire Avon - Secondary Mudrocks) at Lower Moor Water Treatment Works at National Grid Reference SO 976 468.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 144 cubic metres an hour
- 3,456 cubic metres a day
- 1,261,440 cubic metres a year
- between 1 March and 28 February inclusive in each year.
Further details are: The abstraction is for dewatering to enable work to be undertaken at the treatment works. All abstracted water will be returned to either groundwater or nearby surface water.
