This Animal Welfare Committee (AWC) opinion discusses recent changes in the goat industry. It reviews slaughterhouse processes and killing practices applied on-farm. It also assesses the animal welfare issues relating to the killing of goats and makes recommendations for improvement. This AWC opinion was sent to government on 29 May 2020.
