Details

Decision by the Secretary of State on an application by Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm Limited for the construction and operation of an offshore energy generation station with electrical connections.

This will comprise:

  • up to 50 offshore wind turbine generators
  • other offshore windfarm infrastructure including substation platforms
  • an interlink (by sub-sea cable) to the existing Gwynt y Môr offshore windfarm (to the east of the proposed development)
  • up to 2 offshore export cable circuits to bring the power generated to shore
  • landfall and onshore electrical connections and cabling
  • a new onshore substation to allow transmission of electricity to the National Grid
