The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Ellen Shirley Limited.

The applicant currently operates a waste site under a metal recycling permit, they have submitted a variation application to change their permit to a Household, Commercial and Industrial Waste transfer station with treatment. The treatment of waste at the site will consist of limited manual sorting, separations, baling and compaction of waste into different components for disposal. The applicant has submitted a fire prevention plan, odour management plan and noise management plan alongside their application.
