On 3 February 2016, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS), gave Ofqual an undertaking which sets out the steps it will take to secure compliance with our ‘General Conditions of Recognition’, specifically:

  • E6.1 - submitting qualifications to the Register
  • I3.1 - the design of certificates

BCS have undertaken to issue replacement certificates to all learners who may have previously been issued an incorrect certificate.

In line with general condition B8, BCS must now take all the steps identified in the undertaking. We may take further action if it doesn’t follow through on its commitments.
