In July 2015, the government asked Sir Gerry Grimstone to lead a review of the public appointments system.

This report sets out the recommendations and conclusions of the review. It presents Sir Gerry’s findings on how well the public appointments system operates. It draws on evidence from stakeholders and recommends improvements.
