Details

The UK government set out measures to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In an amendment made on 23 March 2020, a clause was introduced to extend the statutory retention period for biometrics that are currently being held by the police for national security purposes.

The Biometric Commissioner has responded to this amendment.
