Approval of the mark identifying poultry meat from a protection zone in Wales

The Avian Influenza (H5N1 in Poultry) (Wales) Order 2006.

The Welsh Ministers hereby approve for the purpose of Article 63(2)(a) of the Avian Influenza and Influenza of Avian Origin in Mammals (Wales) (No.2) Order 2006 the mark described in Paragraph 2 of the Schedule of the Avian Influenza (H5N1 in Poultry) (Wales) Order 2006.

The approval of the mark made on the Welsh Ministers 6 December 2020 is hereby revoked .

Schedule

The following mark is to be used for the purpose of Article 63(2)(a) of the Avian Influenza and Influenza of Avian Origin in Mammals (Wales) (No.2) Order 2006.

Mark approved for identifying poultry meat from a protection zone.

(a) UK - letters 8mm high;

(b) XXXX - numbers 11mm high (where XXXX is the approval number of the premises, as referred to in point 7 of Part B of Section I of Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 853/2004)

(c) diameter (to outer edge of border) - not less than 30mm;

(d) thickness of border 3mm.

The mark must be legible to the naked eye.

When applied to retail packaging, the size of the mark may vary according to the size of the packaging; however, it must be legible to the naked eye.

Notes

This mark is the same as that described in Paragraph 2 of the Schedule of the Avian I nfluenza (H5N1 in Poultry) (Wales) Order 2006 No. 3309
