Details
The first report sets out the findings of the commissioner’s first review and makes recommendations for the improvement of special educational needs and disability (SEND) services in Birmingham.
The second report summarises the progress being made regarding the recommendations of the commissioner’s first review.
These reports follow the joint Ofsted and Care Quality Commission (CQC) Local area SEND report, in respect of the SEND revisit which was carried out between 24 May and 27 May 2021.
The Department for Education issued a statutory direction to Birmingham City Council on 15 October 2021.
