Blended Supervision Model Evaluation

Details

The Blended Supervision Model (BSM) represents an approach to probation supervision that combines in-person and remote interactions, such as telephone calls and video conferencing, with people on probation to address their needs and manage their risks.

A process evaluation was undertaken to increase the understanding of how the Ministry of Justice could support probation practitioners with guidance on the use of Blended Supervision and to explore the perceived impact of using different modes of contact on sentence management. The evaluation also sought to assess the benefits and challenges of technological solutions to remote supervision.
