Blyth Harbour Revision Order
On 14 September 2022, Blyth Harbour Commissioners (“the applicant”) made a formal application to the Marine Management Organisation (“MMO”) under Section 14 of the Harbours Act 1964 for a Harbour Revision Order (“HRO”).

If made, the proposed HRO would extend the harbour limits of Blyth Harbour within which the applicant exercises jurisdiction as statutory harbour authority to include an additional area known as Ash Barge Dock. The proposed order would do this by amending section 11 of the Blyth Harbour Act 1986, which provides for the existing limits of Blyth Harbour, to include Ash Barge Dock being the area shown on the Ash Barge Dock Limits Plan accompanying the application for the order.

The statutory 42-day public consultation on the HRO starts on 9 June 2023 and ends on 20 July 2023. An objection or representation should:
- Be received before the expiry of a period of 42-days consultation period;
- Be made in writing and quoting reference HRO/2022/00010;
- State the grounds of the objection or representation;
- Indicate who is making the objection or representation; and
- Give an address to which correspondence relating to the objection or representation may be sent.
