Boarcross Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a new, full licence to abstract water from a chalk aquifer at Ling Farm, near Weaverthorpe, North Yorkshire at National Grid Reference SE 99405 68888.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 4 cubic metres an hour
- 84 cubic metres a day
- 22,547 cubic metres a year
- All year.
The water will be used for animal watering and welfare, and for domestic use.
