Bovine meat model health certificates: version history

Applies to England, Scotland and Wales

Competent authorities must provide a health certificate to exporters of animals and animal products to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Competent authorities should use the updates below to make changes to health certificates for exporters to ensure they are in line with the current version of the model health certificates.

Version 1.3

Published July 2024:

  • Part I Box I.28: ‘Approval number of cutting plant’ amended to ‘Approval number of cutting and/or Minced Meat Plant’. 
  • Attestation AW/001: renamed to AW/001A. 
  • Attestation AH/T104C: renamed AH/T104D and a new AND/OR option has been added. In the last AND/OR option ‘()[A],()[H]’ has changed to ‘()[A] and ()[H]’. In the notes for completion ‘Vaccination programmes against foot-and-mouth disease are being officially carried out and controlled in domestic bovine animals in this territory’ has been removed from the [A] option. In the [H] option ‘The consignment contains only matured de-boned meat from this territory’ has been removed and ‘the meat has been obtained’ has been added. 
  • ()[meat] ()[minced meat] has been added to the opening paragraph of the public health section of Part II of the certificate 
  • Attestation PH/E100B: replaced by PH/E100A. 
  • Attestation PH/P100: renamed PH/P100A and information on temperatures moved to the notes for completion.  
  • Attestation PH/I001: Has been replaced by PH/I001A which has deleted ‘section 2 and section 3 of’ and added ‘and Regulation (EU) No 2019/624’ to the notes for completion. 
  • Attestation PH/MK002: ()[carcass or parts of the carcass] ()[meat] (*)[minced meat has] has been replaced by ‘the products have’. 
  • Attestation PH/MB001B: ‘the ()[meat] ()[minced meat] has’ is replaced by ‘the products described in part I of this certificate’.  
  • Attestation PH/S101: renamed PH/S101A. 
  • Part III notes for completion Part I box reference I.28: Removed ‘meat, minced meat’ added ‘products and, for chilled minced meat indicate the use by date (dd/mm/yy).’ 
  • ‘Retained’ has been amended to ‘Assimilated’ throughout the certificate.

  • AH/E016C, AH/E370 and AH/A723B have been removed.
