Details

This report is an update to an earlier analysis conducted by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) in 2021 for the period 2016 to 2019.

The report includes:

  1. Slaughterhouse case submission numbers and rates.
  2. The proportion of slaughterhouse cases positive on culture.
  3. The proportion of new TB herd incidents disclosed in the slaughterhouse.
  4. Identification of test reactors in the source herd following a positive slaughterhouse case.
  5. The impact of PCR testing on slaughterhouse detection of TB cases.
  6. A model to explore residual variation in detection rates of TB lesions between slaughterhouses.
