This guidance covers:

• standards for working practice for radiologists, breast clinicians, radiographic consultant practitioners and radiographic advanced practitioners
• guidance on screening image reading
• guidance on screening assessment
• facilities and equipment
• quality standards for radiology

It includes a template form which can used for local annual appraisals. It also includes additional information on the use of confidence intervals, and on age standardised detection ratios (SDRs).
