Brett Aggregates Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Taplow Gravels at George Green Quarry, Uxbridge Road, Slough, Berkshire from inside the area between National Grid References SU 99667 81112, SU 99923 81016, SU 99893 80578 and SU 99427 80837.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 300 cubic metres an hour
- 2,300 cubic metres a day
- 69,000 cubic metres a year
All year.
The water will be used for mineral washing.
