Brett Aggregates Limited have applied to the Environment Agency to vary a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 28/39/28/0067 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata (Gravel) at Hithermoor Road, Stanwell Moor, Middlesex, National Grid Reference TQ 03428 74536.
The variation applied for is to:

Decrease the authorised abstraction volumes from 436.4 cubic metres per hour, 5,001 cubic metres a day and 1,472,904 cubic metres a year to 146 cubic metres per hour, 1,676 cubic metres a day and 410,200 cubic metres a year and include an instantaneous rate not exceeding 40.5 litres per second.

Replace the existing abstraction purpose of gravel washing and processing, with the following new purposes: Mineral washing, industrial process washing, industrial process water and dust suppression. The overall abstraction volume shall be apportioned between the different purposes.
