This framework document sets out the broad parameters within which the British Business Bank (BBB) will operate and how BEIS and BBB will interact with each other.

It includes an undertaking from the Secretary of State for BEIS (the Secretary of State or the Shareholder), as sole shareholder, to ensure the operational independence of the BBB.
