A report into the effectiveness of vetting and counter-corruption arrangements in British Transport Police

Details

A report by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) about the effectiveness of British Transport Police (BTP) force’s vetting, IT monitoring and counter-corruption arrangements.

In 2021, HMICFRS changed the way it reports on how forces effectively manage their vetting and counter corruption. Previously, HMICFRS inspected these areas as part of its police effectiveness, efficiency and legitimacy (PEEL) programme and provided its findings in that inspection report.

Under the new arrangements, HMICFRS now assesses vetting and counter corruption separately from PEEL.
