Details
The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced at Budget 2016 that the government would, in partnership with the private sector, establish a new broadband investment fund.
The aim is to support the growth of the ultrafast broadband industry, particularly alternative ultrafast broadband network developers, by providing greater access to finance on a commercial basis.
This document sets out HM Treasury’s request for proposals, providing fund managers with the necessary information to decide whether to submit a proposal to raise and manage the fund, and to ensure that any response is in accordance with HM Treasury’s requirements.
Update: The deadline for receipt of proposals has been extended to 8 August 2016. A summary of queries received and responses to them can be requested by emailing BIF@IPA.GOV.UK
