Details of the application
Burnt Fen Internal Drainage Board has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Cam and Ely Ouse catchment.
The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:
- 5,521 cubic metres an hour
- 13,250 cubic metres a day
- 15,362,186 cubic metres a year
- between 1 April and 30 September inclusive in each year
- at National Grid References (NGRs) TL 60794 91272, TL 61957 89353, TL 64869 86956, TL 67204 85311, TL 67685 84989, TL 67689 84993, TL 61741 81426 and TL 59075 83641
- from abstraction location Drains and watercourses that are part of the South Level System near Ely.
The water will be used for Transfer for the purpose of IDB functions.
