Details

This letter provides information on the Localism Bill which received Royal Assent on 15 November 2011. The Bill is now an Act of Parliament. The Act contains 4 business rates measures in clauses 68 to 71:

• ballot for imposition and certain variations of a business rate supplement
• non-domestic rates: discretionary relief
• small business rate relief
• cancellation of liability to backdated non-domestic rates
