Details

The Calais Group priority plan was agreed at the Calais Group Interior Minister Meeting, co-chaired by the Home Secretary, the Rt Hon Yvette Cooper MP and the German Federal Minister of the Interior and Community Nancy Faeser, in London on 10 December 2024.

The plan sets out the Calais Group’s priorities for 2025.

These include:

  • tackling the use of social media by organised crime groups
  • enhancing reciprocal information sharing on migrant flows and trends

The Calais Group Meeting follows on from the signing of the UK-Germany joint action plan on irregular migration on 9 December, a bilateral commitment to tackle irregular migration.
