Andy Samuel’s report, ‘Call to Action: The Oil and Gas Authority Commission 2015, identifies the two key risks facing the industry and issues an urgent ‘call to action’ on the immediate measures industry, Government and the OGA must take to protect this critical UK sector. The OGA will be a catalyst for change and a facilitator of action, driving performance and removing unnecessary barriers to help protect the current production base and secure a positive future for the UK oil and gas industry. But the OGA cannot achieve these outcomes in isolation. Now is the time for tripartite dialogue and action to become a reality and for industry, Government and the OGA to demonstrate leadership and focus on delivery.
