Canada-UK Polar Research Memorandum of Understanding

On 17 December 2008 the Government of Canada and the Government of the United Kingdom announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to pursue collaboration on Polar Research activities.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Details

Both the UK and Canada have increased interest in scientific understanding of the Polar Regions. This MOU enables both countries to increase scientific cooperation in all aspects of polar research, including scientific exchanges and the sharing of polar infrastructure and logistics.
