An expert panel of clinicians has been set up to assess applications for special licences to prescribe cannabis-based medicines.

Details
The government has announced a review of cannabis-based medicines. During the period of the review, the government will consider licence applications for the use of cannabis-based medicines in exceptional cases where there is an unmet clinical need. This expert panel, made up of clinicians, will advise ministers on any licence applications to prescribe cannabis-based medicines.
