Introducing Countryside Stewardship

Details

This document has now been superseded by CAP Reform: December 2014 update’ and has now been archived.

This leaflet introduces Countryside Stewardship, the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) environmental land management scheme. It gives an overview of how Countryside Stewardship works, including important information about:

  • the 3 main elements (Higher Tier, Mid Tier and a range of capital grants)
  • when agreements and payments will start
  • what funding will be available in 2015

Alongside this, we’ve published the proposed payment rates for Countryside Stewardship. These are the payment rates for both land management options and capital items.

Further information will be published on GOV.UK at www.gov.uk/cap-reform as schemes are finalised.
