Each of our CAP Reform Countdown leaflets is designed to be read as part of a series of updates and to build on the one before it. When full guidance for each of the CAP schemes is published, it will replace some of what’s in these leaflets.

You can find a list of published guidance – covering Basic Payment Scheme and Rural Development Programme schemes – at www.gov.uk/cap-reform.

This update has the latest information about the Basic Payment Scheme and Rural Development Programme, including:

  • greening
  • Basic Payment Scheme entitlements
  • the National Reserve
  • the Active Farmer rule
  • the young farmer payment

There’s also more information about the CAP Information Service.

This October update follows ‘CAP Reform: The new Common Agricultural Policy schemes in England - August 2014 update including ‘Greening: how it works in practice’.

Alongside the leaflet, we’ve published tables showing the list of crops that are eligible under the crop diversification part of the greening rules. Farmers who need to meet the crop diversification rules can use this to check if the crops they grow will be eligible.

More information will be published on GOV.UK and available via www.gov.uk/cap-reform as schemes are finalised.
