Toolkit to help local councils understand the benefits of car clubs and support their introduction and operation.

It explains how local authorities should work to:

• explore the potential of local car clubs by reviewing the different types of club and their benefits
• procure a car club for residents, businesses and council staff
• provide access to parking bays for car club operators
• enable access to shared or dedicated electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints for car clubs
• engage council teams, residents and businesses to support car club implementation
• require housing developers to introduce or support car clubs
