This agreement is published as part of the Code of Practice for public authorities disclosing information under chapters 1, 3 and 4 (Public Service Delivery, Debt and Fraud) of part 5 of the Digital Economy Act 2017.

The purpose of this data share is to enable the earnings-related approach to employment outcomes, accessing data on participants’ earnings is key. Data is needed to track participants’ earnings as the Employment Outcomes evidence.

The benefits of this data share are to provide a better understanding of how well customers are progressing with their employment (by showing increases in hours/wage rates), and the quality of their employment (jobs above national minimum wage etc), rather than just the duration of full or part time employment captured using traditional employer statements.
