Inspiration vision statement: careers

Details

Describes how employers, schools and colleges will work together to inspire young people about the world of work. It also raises their aspirations for learning and career opportunities that are open to them. Government will facilitate this by developing the role of the National Careers Service and revising statutory guidance for schools.

Inspiration is part of the government’s response to Ofsted’s thematic review of careers guidance in schools, published on 10 September 2013. This vision builds upon what the best schools and educational institutions are doing and encourages culture change in providing careers advice.
