The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2004

Applicable to carriage by road and rail
This authorisation is given in accordance with Regulation 36(5) of The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2004 as amended (The Carriage Regulations).
Purpose
To allow GB fire and rescue authorities 1 and their inspection bodies to use the following breathing apparatus cylinders for their full design life, subject to the alternative provisions set out below:

Time limit
This authorisation comes into effect immediately and remains valid until 30 June 2022.
Alternative carriage provisions
- With the agreement of the inspection body the cylinders may be used for their full design life (as marked on the cylinder).
- The cylinder shall remain suitable for purpose and continue to be inspected and tested in accordance with the relevant ADR and RID provisions. 14 March 2007
- The cylinder may only be used and carried in Great Britain.
