Details

This multilateral agreement (MA), signed by the UK, gives a temporary exemption to certain parts of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR).

This exemption relates to the transportation of hybrid lithium batteries, containing both primary lithium metal cells and rechargeable lithium ion cells.

It is valid until 30 June 2019 unless otherwise revoked.

Anyone carrying dangerous goods in line with an MA must have a copy of it on their vehicle.
