1. Name of project
Formosa 2 Offshore Windfarm
2. Description of project
The project involves the development of the Formosa 2 Offshore Wind Farm.
The windfarm will consist of 47 wind turbine generators (WTGs), together with associated jacket WTG foundations. The WTGs will be connected via 66 kV submarine cables which will then be extended to shore to a newly built onshore substation.
3. Location of project
Approximately 4 to 10km off the west coast of Taiwan, in the Taiwan Straights, near Chunan Town, South West of Hsinch City.
4. Source of environmental information
An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been developed for the project.
A Non-Technical summary of the EIA has also been developed in English.
