Cawdle Fen Internal Drainage Board has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Cam and Ely Ouse catchment.
The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:
- 345 cubic metres an hour
- 8,281 cubic metres a day
- 761,881 cubic metres a year
- between 1 June and 31 August inclusive in each year
- at National Grid Reference (NGR) TL 54167 78132
- from abstraction location River Great Ouse at Cawdle Fen near Ely.
The water will be used for Transfer for the purpose of IDB functions.
