Details of the application

CEMEX UK Materials Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary existing transfer licence SW/043/0028/006 which authorises abstraction of water from underground strata comprising of sand (Parkstone Sand Member) at Hamer Warren Quarry, Ringwood, Hampshire for the purpose of dewatering.

The variation applied for is to increase the area of abstraction to include an area between National Grid References SU 12740 11609, SU 13429 11609, SU 13429 10857 and SU 12740 10857.

There is no change to the quantities authorised on existing transfer licence SW/043/0028/006.
