Details

You must fill in one or more of these forms if you are a British national getting married in Spain. They are part of what you will need to complete an online application to get a marital status certificate (MSC), certificate of no impediment (CNI) or both.

You’ll need to:

  1. Download one or more of the forms on this page and fill them in.
  2. Sign them in front of a notary in Spain.
  3. Apply online for an MSC, a CNI or for both an MSC and CNI.

Which documents you’ll need will depend on where you’re getting married in Spain. Contact the civil registry office where you’re planning to get married to find out.
