Details

Use the definition of a complaint document to help you understand what the Construction Industry Council Approved Inspectors Register (CICAIR) will and will not consider as a complaint.

When you want to make a complaint, use the correct form depending on whether your complaint is based on an initial notice dated before or after 28 February 2017.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is the designated body to approve inspectors in England and Wales from 5 April 2024, replacing CICAIR. This designation ends on 1 October 2024.

All references in the documents to CICAIR should be read as HSE.
