A Heads of Terms agreement between the UK Government and the Scottish Government with the Councils of City of Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian, West Lothian, Borders and Fife and local education and business partners on a city region deal.

Details

The terms of the agreement set out the principles under which the UK Government and Scottish Government commit to jointly invest £600m in the Edinburgh and South East of Scotland region over the next 15 years. The Heads of Terms, which will be further developed in to a Full Deal agreement, provide outline details on a number of projects including 5 Data Driven Innovation hubs, the National Robotarium, and a Food and Drink Innovation campus. The Terms also cover the establishment of a new IMPACT Concert Hall in Edinburgh.
