Required qualifications and skills
You’ll need or must be predicted to have at least a 2.2 degree and a strong interest in working in Northern Ireland to make a positive contribution to both its present and its future.

The Northern Ireland Fast Stream is a separate programme, so if you apply for this scheme you can’t apply for any other fast stream scheme in the same recruitment year.
Training and development
You’ll get continuous training and development to meet challenging business needs and to help you to realise your full potential. Given the size and scope of the Northern Ireland Civil Service, the prospects for your long-term professional career are excellent.
Location
The majority of Northern Ireland Fast Stream positions will be based in the Greater Belfast area although you’re expected to be mobile and work wherever your department needs you. Throughout your career in the Northern Ireland Civil Service you may be required to work in various departments and locations.
