This document is a short summary of implementation progress within the Home Office to support the Cabinet Office publication, Civil service reform: one year on, which provides a candid assessment of progress on implementing the 18 actions in the the Civil service reform plan.

The original report, published jointly by the Minister for the Cabinet Office and head of the civil service on 19 June 2012, set out a series of specific and practical actions to bring about an exceptional civil service that is more skilled, less bureaucratic and more unified.

HM Treasury publish the public expenditure statistical analysis 2013 on 16 July 2013. For information on departmental expenditure, including out-turn budgets from 2008-09 to 2012-13 and plans for future years (to 2015-16), please refer to this document.
